Assistant Teacher
The ideal applicant must be caring, understanding, consistent and willing to learn about and implement the Montessori philosophy. It is essential to be able to understand and appreciate the behaviors of this age child and have infinite patience and a warm smile.
We are willing to train the right enthusiastic individual.
Qualifications of Preferred Candidate :

Previous experience working in childcare required
-
Must complete all state regulations for a Montana Child Care Provider and become current on the Montana Early Childhood Project Website and maintain annual continuing education hours (16 hours per year). (There is 6 required online courses that must be completed within your first 120 days)

You will need to fingerprint and pass FBI background check

Ability to lift, bend, stoop and care for children
-
Walking and standing for extended periods of time
-
Must have Current TDAP & MMR Vaccinations
-
Must be/get CPR certified
-
Must have proof of High School Diploma or equivalent of GED
-
Hours can vary from 5-8 hour shift
-
Hours of operation are 7:25a-5:30p. Monday-Friday, No weekends
Lead Montessori Credentialed Teacher
The lead teacher must be able to develop and maintain an authentic Montessori oriented environment and plan a high quality program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of their students’ classroom experience, as well as for partnerships with parents, professional and personal growth, support of Assistant Teachers, and record keeping.
We are willing to train the right enthusiastic individual.
Qualifications of Preferred Candidate:
• BA/BS degree preferred
• AMS/AMI/MACTE teaching credential
• Understanding of and commitment to Montessori philosophy as well as early childhood best practices
• Confident in the knowledge of Montessori materials and teaching fundamentals
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community
• Commitment to meeting the needs of each child and family
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Certified Montessori Teacher?
Woodland Montessori has a resident teacher education program, the Montana Montessori Teacher Education Institute (MMTEI). Upon successful completion of the program, adult learners earn an AMS Early Childhood Teaching Credential or an AMS Associate Early Childhood Teaching Credential.
