Summer Program
Currently Enrolled Students (Ages 2-6)
Summer is a great time to be at Woodland Montessori! We are thrilled to offer a continuation of our dynamic Montessori education program with all the fun of summertime wrapped into one.
Woodland’s Summer School will provide an enriching and educational experience for your child to enjoy each day with extra special summer activities: science, music, art projects, water days, cooking, field trips, outdoor experiences, bike day, and much more! During the months of June, July and August, students will deep-dive into a new and exciting theme. From fun on the farm, to exploring the depths of the deep blue sea, to the amazing wonders of the human body. The staff you know and love will be here to make your child’s summer fun and full of learning adventures. They will also provide consistency and routine, which will set your child up for success for the next school year!
Weekly Adventures:
Monday: Gardening Gurus: Weeding, Watering, & Harvesting around campus!
Tuesdays - Bike Day: Children may bring a push or pedal bike of their choice to ride in a sectioned-off area of the parking lot. Older children (ages 5 and up) will take a longer ride somewhere around the neighborhood. Helmets are required.
Wednesdays - Walking Field Trips: On Wednesday afternoons, we will get out and enjoy all that Kalispell has to offer. We will visit the library, parks, playgrounds, businesses and locations of natural interest. On occasion, we may travel to attractions around the Flathead Valley by bus or van!
Thursdays - Creative “STEM” Day: Thursdays will be a combination of cooking, special art and science projects, music and more! We will be chopping, baking, creating and singing our hearts out!
Fridays - Water Day: Weather permitting, we plan to set up our own water park in the yard with sprinklers, Slip N Slides, etc. Children 4 and up will also have the opportunity to visit Woodland Water Park on the last Friday of the month throughout the summer (as weather and staffing permits).
